David King

David is the founder of Culpeper Capital Partners, focused on investments in the financial and business services sectors. He previously was a managing director at Fortress Strategic Capital and a senior managing director with Irving Place Capital and Bear Stearns Merchant Banking Partners; he also served as a partner with McCown DeLeeuw & Co. from 1990–2000. David has more than 30 years of board experience in a variety of strategic circumstances. Recent tenures include gym chain 24 Hour Fitness, insurance provider State National, and financial services company Ascensus.
