Caroline has been an independent, non-executive director in the financial services industry since 2013. Previously, she was a partner at PwC Bermuda for 12 years, primarily leading the insurance practice in Bermuda and serving listed clients with both audit and advisory services. She spent nine years, until May 2022, as a director for Hiscox and its subsidiaries at Lloyd’s and in Bermuda, serving as chair of the Hiscox audit committee and a member of its risk, remuneration, governance, and investment committees. She currently sits on the boards of several financial services entities.

Mitch has more than 40 years of accomplishments in international insurance markets. In 2006, he joined Robert Clements as a founding executive to launch Bermuda-based Ironshore with $1 billion in private-equity capital, and helped drive its growth to become a global property & casualty insurer with over 800 employees in 15 nations. Mitch held key roles during the company’s evolution, including COO of Ironshore Inc, CFO and CEO of Ironshore Bermuda, and CEO of Iron-Starr Excess Agency and IronServe. In 2017, Ironshore was acquired by Liberty Mutual Group, where he became chief transformation officer of the company’s commercial lines division. Bob is Chairman of Pelican Ventures, a private insurance-focused investment firm. He also serves on the boards of Ariel Re, IQUW, and Tango Specialty, and is a senior advisor to Aquiline Capital Partners and Assured Allies. Previously, Bob held numerous key leadership and strategy roles across industry, including Hamilton Insurance Group; GCP Capital Partners; CNA Financial; Swiss Re; and Ernst & Young. He was a founding executive of Executive Risk (now Chubb) and Ironshore Inc. He previously served as a director of Acrisure, Beazley, Chaucer, Darwin, Enstar, Platinum Underwriters, and others.

Alex is CEO and Managing Director of Angel Island Capital (AIC), a specialty finance portfolio company of Mosaic’s anchor investor, Golden Gate Capital. Alex joined AIC in 2020 and has over 18 years of finance industry experience. Prior, he was director of US portfolio finance and internal business strategy at Citadel LLC, where he managed the US portfolio finance team, providing secured financing solutions for the equities, credit, quantitative and commodities businesses.

Dan is a Managing Director of Golden Gate Capital (GGC), a leading private-equity investment firm which holds a majority stake in Mosaic. He serves as the firm’s Director of Portfolio Operations and also focuses on investments across the financial services space, with an emphasis on insurance, asset management, and specialty finance. Prior to joining GGC, he worked in the Boston office of Bain & Company. Dan has an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management (Austin Scholar) and a BA in Mathematics from the University of Virginia (Phi Beta Kappa).

David is the founder of Culpeper Capital Partners, focused on investments in the financial and business services sectors. He previously was a managing director at Fortress Strategic Capital and a senior managing director with Irving Place Capital and Bear Stearns Merchant Banking Partners; he also served as a partner with McCown DeLeeuw & Co. from 19902000. David has more than 30 years of board experience in a variety of strategic circumstances. Recent tenures include gym chain 24 Hour Fitness, insurance provider State National, and financial services company Ascensus.

Jennifer is a Principal at Golden Gate Capital, a San Francisco-based private-equity firm which holds a majority stake in Mosaic. She is a member of the firm’s financial services team, covering investments in specialized markets, including insurance, asset and wealth management, fintech, and specialty finance. Zhu previously worked at Sightway Capital, the private investment arm of Two Sigma. Prior to that, she was as an associate at Pine Brook Partners. She started her career as an investment banking analyst in the financial institutions group at Morgan Stanley. She has a BA in Economics from Harvard University.

With 35 years of Lloyd’s market experience, Chris previously was strategic partnership director at Hamilton Insurance Group following its acquisition of Pembroke Managing Agency. He joined Syndicate 4000 at inception in 2004 to lead its financial institutions division and was a founding director of Pembroke in 2006. He led the managing agency’s provision of services to Lloyd’s Syndicates 2014, 1947 and 6125 from 2014.
